Not only is the Furry Fandom a wonderful subculture for thousands​ of people sround the world, but they make regular contributions to society as well. In fact, Anthrocon alone has raised over $200,000 at various auctions with all of the proceeds going to to a charitable organisation. In 2014, Anthrocon raised $32,000 for The National Aviary, a large, indoor, non-profit zoo dedicated entirely to birds.
